PM-eBus Sewa

The PM-eBus Sewa scheme, approved by the Union Cabinet, aims to deploy 10,000 electric buses on a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model to augment city bus operations across urban areas. The scheme has a total estimated cost of Rs. 57,613 crore, with the central government providing support of Rs. 20,000 Cr. The Scheme covers city bus operations, depot and charging infrastructure, and green mobility initiatives including accessible bus stops, last mile connectivity ITMS and NCMC-based ticketing, to promote clean, efficient, and technology-driven urban transport for citizens across the country.

The scheme has a total estimated cost of Rs. 57,613 crore, with the central government providing support of Rs. 20,000 Cr. The Scheme covers city bus operations, depot and charging infrastructure, and green mobility initiatives including accessible bus stops, last mile connectivity Intelligent Transit Management System (ITMS) and National Common Mobility Card (NCMC)-based ticketing, to promote clean, efficient, and technology-driven urban transport for citizens across the country.
